Sweet and Sour Mix

From margaritas to whiskey sours to an array of exotic cocktails, sweet and sour mix is a mixology staple. And it's so easy (and delicious) to make your own! This recipe yields 8 cups.


Ingredients 3 cups water

3 cups sugar

2 cups fresh lemon juice

2 cups fresh lime juice


Combine water and sugar in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil. Cool syrup. Mix syrup, lemon juice and lime juice in pitcher. Chill until cold. (Can be made and stored for 1 week.) Cover. Keep chilled.
