Recap: Bar Convent Brooklyn 2023

Attending the Bar Convent Brooklyn event on June 11-12 was an exhilarating and eye-opening experience. The event brought together a vibrant community of industry professionals, showcasing the latest trends, innovations, and techniques in the world of mixology. From the moment I stepped foot into the convention center, I was greeted by a buzzing atmosphere filled with anticipation and camaraderie.

Throughout the day, I had the opportunity to attend insightful workshops and seminars hosted by renowned experts in the field. These sessions covered a wide range of topics, from cocktail craftsmanship and flavor pairing to sustainable practices and bar management. It was inspiring to witness the passion and creativity that went into each presentation, leaving me with a wealth of knowledge and fresh ideas.

This year's event featured a focus on Italian regional producers, and female and minority owned bars and brands. The Chilled 100 Spirit Awards celebrated craft and mainstream distillers, along with new entrants and a resurgence of historic libations such as Absinthe and Peruvian Pisco.

The event also provided an excellent platform for networking and building connections with like-minded professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration and shared growth. We hope to see you there next year!
